Assignment:

My First LaTeX Document (100 points)

First, view the LaTeX tutorials listed on the Tutorials page of this web site. Be sure to read all information on the Tutorials page before viewing the tutorials.

After viewing the tutorials, you will be assigned the task of creating your own LaTeX document. Your document should be formatted to look exactly like this one, with your own answers in place of the generic ones. I have created a sample document for further clarification.

When your LaTeX document is complete, name it according to the following rule: lastname_firstname_latex1.tex.  When you open the .tex file, you will see your code.  When you open your .pdf file, you will see the finished product.

You will be turning in three files:

  1. Your source code (.tex)
  2. Your output document (.pdf)
  3. Your image file (.png or .jpg)

I will provide further instructions for uploading the assignment to our class dropbox.
