Special Right Triangles

Use GeoGebra to investigate each of the special right triangles listed below.  For each type, make a conjecture about the properties of the figure.  Then move the vertices and determine if the properties hold for all figures of that type.

30-60-90 Right Triangle:
Use the given equilateral triangle to construct a 30-60-90 right triangle. Use the Distance or Length tool to measure the sides of the triangle. Then make a conjecture about the ratio of the side lengths. Please install Java 1.4 (or later) to use this page.

45-45-90 Right Triangle:
