Parallel and Perpendicular Lines

I. Parallel Lines.

1. Use the Point tool to plot points A and B anywhere in the coordinate plane.
2. Use the Line Through Two Points tool to construct line AB.
3. Plot point C, not on line AB.
4. Use the Parallel Line tool to construct a line parallel to line AB, passing through point C.
5. Use the Slope tool to determine the slope of each line.
6. Make and test a conjecture relating the slopes of parallel lines.

II. Perpendicular Lines.

1. Use the Point tool to plot points A and B anywhere in the coordinate plane.
2. Use the Line Through Two Points tool to construct line AB.
3. Plot point C, not on line AB.
4. Use the Perpendicular Line tool to construct a line perpendicular to line AB, passing through point C.
5. Use the Slope tool to determine the slope of each line.
